By now, you have heard about this “Wedding Boom”. There have been countless articles, from Brides, to NPR, and everywhere in between. The original “Boom” was named by The Wedding Report back in August 2021. They reported that 20% of 2021 weddings were rescheduled out to 2022 and that there would be 2.47 million weddings with an average spend of $24.3k.
And while this is such an exciting time to be a wedding vendor, it also means your marketing needs to stand out! With more and more couples planning weddings again, the need for wedding vendors is at an all-time high.
After over two years of lockdown, couples are ready to finally plan their wedding. Many are couples who had a 2021 wedding planned but pushed it back a year. Others are couples who have been engaged since 2020 and 2021, and are finally feeling comfortable planning their event. Others are part of the engagement season, which takes place from Thanksgiving to Valentine’s Day.
Couples are not just looking for a wedding photographer or planner anymore… they are looking for a connection! After two years of quarantine, couples are looking to make connections. That is why at Ava And The Bee, we focus on content marketing.
According to the Content Marketing Institute, “Content marketing is a strategic marketing approach focused on creating and distributing valuable, relevant, and consistent content to attract and retain a clearly-defined audience — and, ultimately, to drive profitable customer action”
AKA: It’s about creating engaging content that connects brand awareness, advertising, and your audience, without feeling “too salesy”
When it comes to wedding pros, your goal is to find clients, right? But, if all you did online was say “Book me today!” chances are, you wouldn’t get a lot of hits. So for my clients, and you, we will focus on sharing content across all of your engaging platforms, tell a story, and speaks to your ideal couples.
I highly suggest you take a close look at your website and social media. Is it up to date? Are you posting consistently? Find out what is working + what isn’t.
For Your Website:
For Instagram:
There is no need to constantly create ALL new content. You should be working to repurpose your content as much as possible, and create as many pieces of content out of one idea that you can.
The easiest way to repurpose your content is to turn your blog posts into social media posts. Why blog posts? Simple. Blogging should be the core piece of your content marketing strategy. A single 500-word blog post can easily create weeks of content to share on social media.
Once you’ve reviewed your current marketing, determine what can be given to someone else. Whether it is a team member, or a marketing team like Ava And The Bee, so many things you do can be outsourced.
Here at Ava And The Bee, we know the value of outsourcing. So many of our clients save hours every month (and make more money!) by having an experienced team take over. Even if it’s just 2 blogs per month, imagine the hours you can save!
Not sure where to start? Just reach out to us, and we’ll help you create an awesome marketing strategy! Blogging is our love language, and creating engaging content is our favorite!
