Every quarter, I’m sharing the top marketing content wedding vendors should be talking about, backed by strategy, search trends, and real-world buyer behavior. Today, we’re diving into Q2: April, May, and June – one of the busiest seasons for wedding pros across much of the U.S.

At this point in the year, the engagement honeymoon phase is over, and couples are diving head-first into wedding planning mode. They’re finalizing vendor bookings, making design decisions, and tackling the timeline of their day. This is your time to show up as a guide, not just a vendor. Search volume spikes for “wedding photographer” and “wedding planner” peak in May, which means content in April needs to build trust before they go searching.

April: Different Vendor Roles

April is a key moment for visibility as many couples are finalizing their vendor bookings and starting to dive into day-of planning details. They’re also spending a lot of time browsing real weddings for inspiration, especially from spring and summer events. This is the perfect time to position yourself as a trusted expert by sharing educational content and helpful visuals that show what it’s like to work with you.

  • Venue Coordinator Vs. Wedding Planner: Many couples assume that hiring a venue with an on-site coordinator means they don’t need a wedding planner, but the two roles are actually very different. In this post, explain how a venue coordinator represents the venue while a planner represents the couple and manages everything else. Use real-life examples or testimonials to show the value you bring beyond what the venue offers.
  • Tented Weddings vs. Wedding Venues. Tented weddings offer a dreamy, customizable blank slate. But they come with more complexity than many couples realize! Use this blog to walk through the logistics, from renting generators, restrooms, and flooring to hiring additional staff and planning for weather contingencies. Compare this to booking a traditional venue, where many of these elements are already in place and managed for you.
  • Micro Wedding Vs. Elopement: A lot of couples are still planning smaller weddings. In fact, we are seeing it increase exponentially in 2026! Based on what you offer, what does this entail? Use this post to define each clearly: typically, elopements are 10 guests or fewer and more focused on the couple, while micro weddings include 10–50 guests and often follow a more traditional structure. If you offer packages for either (or both), share what’s included and how your services adapt to fit the size and scope of each. This is a great opportunity to highlight how intimate events still benefit from thoughtful planning and expert guidance.

 

May: Timeline

In May, most couples are deep in research mode, comparing vendors, reading reviews, and envisioning the logistics of their wedding day. This is the phase where they’re not just looking for pretty inspiration, they’re looking for clarity, reassurance, and proof that you’re the right fit. They’re asking more detailed questions, thinking through timelines, and starting to narrow down their options.

For many vendors, especially those already booked for the season, May is the perfect time to lean into decision-based content. Think blog posts, social media captions, or videos that clearly explain your process, outline timelines, clarify pricing, and walk through what it’s like to work with you. Even if couples aren’t ready to inquire yet, this kind of content builds trust early, so when they are ready, you’re already top of mind.

  • How To Create a Guest List: In this post, break down a step-by-step process for deciding who makes the list, from inner circle to extended invites. Then, guide couples through the often-tricky topic of plus-ones: who traditionally gets one, and when it’s okay to say no.
  • Why Engagement Sessions Are Important (and when to book it!): Not all couples want an engagement session – but as a photographer, they are a great add-on to your packages! Write a post about why this is so important for your couples. You can also offer tips on the best time to book one based on location, season, and save-the-date timelines. Bonus points for including examples of real engagement sessions and how they impacted the wedding day coverage.
  • How To Pick Your Ceremony Time: Walk couples through how to factor in season, sunset time, venue restrictions, and photography needs when selecting their start time. You can also touch on how the ceremony time affects the rest of the timeline: cocktail hour, dinner, golden hour portraits, etc. This is a great way to position yourself (especially if you’re a venue, planner or photographer) as a strategic guide, not just a hired vendor.

 

June: Educational

June marks the heart of wedding season, but it’s also when we see a major shift in booking behavior. Couples are actively attending weddings, gathering ideas in real time, and starting to make decisions for fall and the following year. This is a high-intent moment where they’re not just consuming content, they’re picturing themselves in it.

This is the time to blend real wedding inspiration with clear education. Show what you do, but also explain it. Help couples understand timelines, logistics, and what actually goes into creating the experience they’re seeing. The more you can connect visuals with strategy, the more trust you build.

For photographers, this is a great time to prep teaser content for upcoming fall clients and share tips on how to look and feel your best during a hot-weather wedding day.

If you’re a content creator or videographer, lean into sharing emotive sneak peeks from recent events. These real-time moments not only showcase your work but create the kind of FOMO that makes new clients want to inquire now.

  • How to Get the Most From Your Tasting: The tasting isn’t just an important step in the process; it is also fun! In this post, walk couples through how to prepare for their tasting, what questions to ask, and how to give clear feedback. If you’re a planner or caterer, share tips on how to approach tastings with a guest-first mindset. If you’re a cake artist, talk about flavor pairings, popular trends, and how to ensure your cake is both beautiful and unforgettable.
  • How Many Hours of Photography Coverage Do You Need?: Use this post to walk through your packages and explain how the wedding day timeline impacts photography needs. Always tie your content back to the couple’s timeline. What are they searching for, worrying about, or dreaming of right now? Create content that speaks directly to that moment, and you’ll become the obvious choice.

  • Planners: Focus on timelines, guest experience, stress reduction, and decision-making content.

  • Florists: Lean into seasonal floral education, repurpose content from weddings, and prep for fall.
  • HMUAs: Talk summer beauty tips, trial prep, and how to manage heat/humidity.
