Open ten wedding vendor websites in your category right now. Read the about pages. Read the homepage headlines. Count how many times you see the words luxury, stress-free, timeless, elevated, and personalized.
They are going to sound familiar. Because they might sound like yours.
AI gave every vendor access to polished, professional-sounding copy, and most of them used the same prompts, pulled from the same inspiration, and ended up with the same voice. Which means the playing field did not level. It just got louder and more identical at the same time.
And at the end of the day, marketing hasn’t really changed. The things that worked in marketing ten years ago still work today. A brand with a clear point of view. A voice that sounds like a human being. A client experience that makes people feel something. Referrals built on trust. Word of mouth built on delight. And none of this is new – it’s things marketers have been using for decades.
What changed is the noise level. And the solution is not to get louder. It is to get more specific.
At the exact same moment that couples got more skeptical (thank you 2020!), the market got more crowded. But the biggest problem? They got more identical.
Some of it came from coaching programs where everyone copied and pasted the same frameworks, the same language, the same positioning statements. Or from Showit templates that had default copy that no one changed. Just see this image below: The same statement, across dozens of wedding vendors website and social media.

But the bigger shift happened when AI entered the picture. I say this as someone who works in wedding marketing every single day: AI is the biggest brand opportunity and the biggest brand threat happening simultaneously right now.
The opportunity: you can move faster, create more, show up more consistently than ever before.
The threat: so can everyone else. And most of them are using the same tools, the same prompts, and ending up with the same voice.
AI does not understand weddings. It does not understand what makes you different. Your custom color palette can be copied in minutes. Your brand fonts matched instantly.
Here is what most vendors do not understand about AI-generated copy: it is not trying to make you sound different. It is trying to predict the most statistically common words for whatever prompt you give it.
Ask it to write your about page, and it will produce something polished, professional, and completely interchangeable with every other vendor who typed something similar into the same tool. “A tapestry of love.” “Capturing your unique love story.” “Creating memories that last a lifetime.” It sounds good… but it means nothing.
And here is the deeper problem: AI does not understand your business. It does not know your strategy, your positioning, or the specific thing that makes couples choose you over everyone else. Its job is to nod and agree with whatever you put in front of it, not to push back, not to see through the noise, not to ask whether you are even solving the right problem the way a real marketing strategist or copywriter would.
It will not pause and say “wait, is this actually what makes you different?”
It will just answer, with total confidence, whatever you put in front of it. And then it will keep agreeing with you until the end of time. That does not make you stand out. That makes you sound like the version of yourself that a language model predicted. (And in a world of artistry, this should give you the ick.)
The vendors who are using AI well are using it as a tool inside a real brand strategy, not as a replacement for one. Without the strategy underneath it, AI just produces a faster version of the same generic copy everyone else already has.
When everything looks the same and sounds the same, couples cannot make decisions based on what they see anymore. So they default to the thing they can compare: price. And if pricing becomes the determining factor, you have already lost. Because that is not a race anyone wins.
Most vendor websites say some version of the same thing. We are planners who plan stress-free weddings. We capture your day beautifully. We create floral designs that reflect your unique vision. The problem is not that those statements are wrong. The problem is that your competitors say the exact same thing!
Now, read these and see how you feel (and see more case studies and examples, here.)

That is the difference between explaining what you do and communicating what it feels like to be in your world. One gets skimmed, while the other gets booked.
The best part? You don’t have to sit with a blank page and try to find the perfect words for what makes you different. You don’t need a copywriting course, a brainstorming session, or a ChatGPT prompt. (Although we might recommend a professional copywriter to fine-tune it!)
Your best copy has already been written, and it’s sitting in your testimonials.
Go look at your last ten to fifteen reviews. Not for the words “amazing” and “beautiful” and “wonderful.” Look for the specific stuff the stuff that repeats and stands out.
Those aren’t just nice things clients said; they’re your positioning statements. Those are the words that should be on your homepage, in your captions, in your inquiry responses. When we write websites for our clients at Ava And The Bee, we do not start with a blank page. We start with their testimonials. Because the positioning was never missing, it was just unheard.
Your competitors can copy your services. They can copy your pricing. They can copy your website layout. They cannot copy hundreds of people describing the exact same feeling. That is your competitive advantage.

Pull up your last ten to fifteen reviews and read through them. Highlight the phrases that come up over and over, focusing on the feelings.
Then ask yourself: if I removed my business name from these reviews, could someone still recognize this was me? If not, you are describing your services. Not your delight. And once you find the phrases that repeat — the ones that feel specific and true and irreplaceable — compare them to your website. Are they actually there? Or are you still leading with “luxury, personalized, stress-free experiences” like everyone else?
